Best Tips For Getting The Best Deals on Gatwick Airport Parking
Book early
Gatwick parking deals can vary a lot, but I guess you’ll always get a better price if you book early. Look out for ‘Super Saver’ deals for advanced bookings too, but be aware that you can’t amend these bookings once they are made which offer particularly good rates. For complete flexibility you can of course park and just pitch up but it works out a lot more expensive. It’s even worth booking rather than paying on arrival or in advance on the day you’re flying.
Go long stay
Long stay parking is mostly cheaper than short stay. You should have the added convenience of being able to walk to the terminal or if you pay the extra for a short stay, but for trips of more than one day I’ll always suggest for a long stay and factor in a bit more time to get the transfer bus. If you want valet parking(see below) to avoid the transfer to the terminal opt instead of using short stay.
Double check your terminal
Both terminals of parking at Gatwick airport (North and south) have dedicated long and short stay parking facilities and prices are very similar. Don’t make the mistake of assuming my flight is out of the North terminal while actually it is from the South.
Consider valet parking
If you’ve loads of gear or kids in tow, valet parking(Gatwick meet and greet) can be an absolute choice and the cost compares very favorably with short stay parking as well. And, don’t even imagine that it will cost a lot or more either. As a result you can wander serenely into the terminal and get your trip off to a really stress-free start.
